Are you freaking out because you want to use the new BlackBerry storm or 8220 (Flip pearl) but find that buying two devices is too spendy? Look no further, as RIM has provided emulators to allow you to test the devices. There are a few installs to complete and maybe some reboots, so unfortunatley not as easy to test like the T-Mobile has released an emulator for the G1.
The new touchscreen blackberry (storm) is still somewhat of a mysterious device. Hit the link for some official shots. Its a pretty cool looking phone, and the entire screen functions as a button, meaning you have to touch the screen and then press to activate.
UPDATE: Check out the new emulators and try the interface for yourself here.
Remember when I told you about the Blackberry Javelin 8900? That auction is still going strong at $6,600. Thats chump change, a throw away phone. There is an auction for another 8900 that just ended. I’m not going to tell you how much, you will have to see for yourself but ill give you a hint. There is an extra digit in the price.
Quick math time. I spend roughly $300.00 on average every 5 years for a new phone. That means, in the next 20 years I will spend roughly $1200.00 on phones.
See the phone to the left? Yes, its neat. Yes, its the new Blackberry 8900 (Javelin) which hasn’t been released yet, and yes its probably my next phone. It has GPS, 3.2MP camera, 512MHZ processor, and a 480×360 screen. What’s not to love?
Sound like something you would want? Go have yourself a bid on what the kids call “the eBay”
eBay has this very device, in “almost new” condition for the low low bid of $4,056.99 at the time of writing with 6 days and 2 hours left.
